MezcoToyz.com is now accepting pre-orders for a limited edition figure called the “Xenomorph Concept Edition” because it’s based not on the final xenomorph design we saw in director Ridley Scott‘s 1979 classic Alien (watch it HERE), but on the original design. H.R. Giger initially imagined the xenomorph as being pale and translucent, but its skin was changed “due to insurmountable technical challenges”. A couple images of this figure can be seen below, and more can be found at the Mezco Toyz website, where the figure is going for the price of $100.
Figures are expected to ship out sometime in the range of April to June, 2022.
The One:12 Collective Alien “Concept Edition” features a seamless body designed with an internal skeleton armature that creates the feel of the creature’s suit from the film’s developmental stages. The aggressive eponymous creature has a hinged jaw with interchangeable inner mouths, as well as an interchangeable chest plate pierced by the ASSO-400 Harpoon Grappling Gun, as seen in the final scene of the movie.
