Is it just me or are there a lot of alien flicks heading our way? We’ve got THE FOURTH KIND, AREA 51 and BATTLE: LA just to name a few… And now we can add another to that list!
Variety are reporting the first film out of a deal between British companies Big Talk and distributor Optimum Releasing will be Joe Cornish’s ATTACK THE BLOCK. At first glance I’m thinking… What the..? Well upon further research it seems like we might be in for quite the treat..
ATTACK THE BLOCK follows a gang of South London teenagers defending their housing project home against an alien attack. Lensing is set to being early 2010. I don’t know about you guys but I’m always game for a good alien flick. I’d actually be stoked to see a movie based on the video game DESTORY ALL HUMANS (above). Actually shocked that isn’t in the works… yet.
Anyway be sure to keep it here as we await any more info on ATTACK THE BLOCK.
