Well it was expected that THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE would open at number one this weekend, but its $30.2 million opening exceeded anyone’s expectations. That marks the third biggest September bow ever, and just goes to show that when you make an interesting horror film, it will make moola.
Budgeted in the $20 million range, the fact that ROSE recouped it’s initial cost plus in the first weekend no doubt has the producers trying to figure out how you make a sequel to a flick where the main chica dies.

Perhaps Emily Rose could come back to possess a real sonuvabitch and start making him do good things. Just throwin’ it out there.
