All My Friends Are Dead: Saw VI’s Kevin Greutert takes on Seven Deadly Sins slasher

After editing the first five movies in the Saw franchise, Kevin Greutert was given the chance to direct Saw VI – and did so well with that one, he was hired to direct Saw 3D: The Final Chapter as well. Now Deadline reports that Greutert has signed on to direct a slasher movie called All My Friends Are Dead. (Not to be confused with the recent UK horror comedy All My Friends Hate Me.)

All My Friends Are Dead will follow

a group of close college friends who get a great deal on a killer Airbnb for the biggest music festival of the year. A weekend of partying quickly takes a turn for the worse, as the group is murdered one by one. They soon discover that each death directly corresponds to one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

John Baldecchi is producing the film, with Dominic Ianno serving as executive producer. Ingenious Media is providing the production funding.

All My Friends Are Dead is the first project to come out of a new partnership between streaming company Cinedigm and recently launched production company Roundtable Entertainment. Roundtable has received minority investment from Cinedigm, and according to Deadline, “As part of the deal the companies will co-finance and co-own the IP of original films to be distributed domestically on Cinedigm’s OTT networks and on other third-party streaming platforms.”

Seven done as a slasher with one of the Saw directors at the helm sounds like a solid way to get things started. I doubt the killer in this movie can match up to the Seven Deadly Sins-inspired kills carried out by John Doe, but I’ll gladly watch them try.
