If you subscribe to the Shudder streaming service, you might want to check out the Spanish coming-of-age vampire story All the Moons (a.k.a. Ilargi Guztiak in Basque) when it starts streaming tomorrow, February 10th – and to help you decide whether or not this is a movie you’d be interested in watching, we have the film’s trailer embedded at the top of this article.

The film was directed by Igor Legarreta (When You No Longer Love Me) from a screenplay he wrote with Jon Sagalá, who previously co-wrote the 2006 horror film The Backwoods. All the Moons has the following synopsis:

North of Spain, at the end of the 19th century, during the final throes of the last Carlist war, a little girl is rescued from an orphanage by a mysterious woman after it’s destroyed by a bomb. Wounded and close to death, the girl believes the woman is an angel coming to take her to Heaven. Soon, however, she discovers that this strange being has given her is the gift of eternal life by turning her into a vampire.

Newcomer Haizea Carneros stars in the film alongside Itziar Ituño (Money Heist), Josean Bengoetxea (Once Upon a Time in Euskadi), Zorion Eguileor (The Platform), Lier Quesada (An Autumn Without Berlin), and Iñigo de la Iglesia (Errementari).

All the Moons was produced by Ibon Cormenzana, Ignasi Estapé, David Naranjo, and Koldo Zuazua, with Jérôme Vidal co-producing and Sandra Tapia serving as executive producer.

The movie looks intriguing to me, so I’ll probably watch it in between watching Joe Bob Briggs episodes and specials. The vampire coming-of-age movie Let the Right One In is one of my all-time favorites, so I’ll give this one a chance.
