Perhaps Kristen Stewart thinks that one dark and dramatic movie experience is plenty – after agreeing to star in LIE DOWN IN DARKNESS for Scott Cooper (CRAZY HEART), Kristen Stewart has dropped out of CALI for Nick Cassavetes (ALPHA DOG). All is not lost, however. Far from it, in fact.
Amber Heard (YOUR DREAMS) has been brought in to replace her, joining Alex Pettyfer (MAGIC MIKE) in the story of “a pair of San Fernando Valley lovebirds (Pettyfer and Heard) who sell a fake snuff film and ride off with a bundle of cash. Years later, Heard’s character must ‘return from the dead’ to save the younger sister she left behind.”
An official statement is expected to be released soon – hopefully it will include some sort of time frame for when production is meant to start, or even further casting. I’m intrigued enough by the just-enough-off-kilter premise from Michael Diliberti’s (30 MINUTES OR LESS) script to want to know how it all shakes out.
