AMC is aiming to make the night of Sunday, June 2nd a good one for genre fans, and then we'll hopefully continue to have good Sunday nights for several weeks after that, as the fifth season of The Walking Dead's companion series Fear the Walking Dead and the first season of the Joe Hill series NOS4A2 are set to air back-to-back on the network.

Fear the Walking Dead season 5 and NOS4A2 season 1 will both have their premieres on June 2nd, with Fear the Walking Dead airing at 9pm and NOS4A2 following at 10pm.

The Walking Dead's Austin Amelio joins the cast of Fear this season, sharing the screen with fellow Walking Dead alumni Lennie James and Fear stars Colman Domingo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Mo Collins, Daryl Mitchell, Ruben Blades, and Alexa Nisenson. In season 5

the group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.

Based on a novel by Joe Hill, NOS4A2 stars Ashleigh Cummings (pictured above), Zachary Quinto, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jahkara Smith, and Virginia Kull. The story centers on

Vic Queen (Cummings), a young woman with the supernatural ability to find lost things, which means she’s perhaps the best person to find the missing children taken by Charlie Manx (Quinto). Manx is an immortal who feeds on the souls of children before depositing what’s left of them in Christmasland, a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law.
