Amusing rating

Back in March, our man Mike informed you that AMUSEMENT had been bumped from a September 12th to September 5th release date. Unfortunately for us, that date has changed (yet again), and has been scheduled for an undetermined Holiday 2008 release. Bummer!

But all is not sad in the state of AMUSEMENT. The MPAA honored the film by giving it a rating this week, and it looks like they’re not gonna bitch out with a silly PG-13 teen-bopper movie… nope, AMUSEMENT received a hard R rating for horror violence, terror and disturbing images. Nice!

While I also enjoy language and nudity with my R ratings, I’ll take reasons of absolute horror / terror violence! And after the first trailer that they released for this beast some six months ago, the rating doesn’t really surprise me at all–but hey, now it’s ‘official!’

AMUSEMENT is about three women who are stalked by a killer with a grudge that extends back to the their childhoods. Sounds pretty flippin’ R rated to me too!
Stick around for the announcement of AMUSEMENT’s release date, as it’s bound to come out sooner or later…

One of many reasons why clowns freak me out.
