I have some casting news for you this morning for Steven Spielberg's upcoming cold war thriller starring Tom Hanks. THR has learned Amy Ryan has joined the project, and will play the wife of Hank's James Donovan, an attorney who is enlisted by the CIA to negotiate the release of a captured U-2 pilot.

THR is also reporting Alan Alda, Billy Magnussen (TWELVE, Boardwalk Empire) and Eve Hewson (ENOUGH SAID, THIS MUST BE THE PLACE) are in talks to join the untitled project as well, and production on the film is scheduled to start in September.

Although Matt Charman wrote the original script. Steven Spielberg's new film will be based on a script from Joel and Ethan Coen. I'm very excited the Coen brothers will be working with Spielberg for his latest project, and I can't wait to see which other actors and actresses will join the upcoming film.

Steven Spielberg's new movie still doesn't have a title, however we do know it is set to open on October 16, 2015.
