Bare with me here… let’s head back 5 months now, when I told you all about Mischa Barton signing on to star in WALLED IN. Well there’s been no news to follow that… until now.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Anchor Bay has picked up the rights to two flicks, one of which is WALLED IN. The other being THE LOST.
WALLED IN is about a demolition company rep (Barton) supervises the razing of a mysterious building and discovers horrifying secrets and past inhabitants entombed within its walls by a vicious murderer. It stars Mischa Barton (pictured), Deborah Kara Unger, and Cameron Bright. It’s written and directed by French director Gilles Paquet-Brenner from the novel LES EMMURES by Serge Brossolo.
THE LOST is based off the novel by Jack Ketchum. It’s written and directed by Chris Sivertson and stars Marc Senter, Shay Astar, Alex Frost, Megan Henning, Robin Sydney, Michael Bowen, Ed Lauter, Dee-Wallace Stone, and Erin Brown. According to The Hollywood Reporter, THE LOST follows the trail of a suburban serial killer.
THE LOST is slated for a limited release in New York and LA later this month with a DVD release shortly thereafter. WALLED IN is planned to have a theatrical release later this year.
Absolutely gorgeous… how can Mischa Barton do any wrong?
