It took a while, but Anchor Bay have finally announced the DVD release date for Dante Tomaselli’s SATAN’S PLAYGROUND for August 22nd.
The film, which stars horror vets like Ellen Sandweiss (EVIL DEAD), Felissa Rose (SLEEPAWAY CAMP), Edwin Neal (TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE), Irma St. Paule (PSYCHOS IN LOVE) and Ron Millkie (FRIDAY THE 13TH), follows an average family’s hellish time in New Jersey’s legendary Pine Barrens. When their car breaks down en route to a wilderness camping retreat, the unsuspecting travelers find themselves terrorized by a mysterious supernatural presence. Seeking help and safety in this desolate wooded region, they’re forced to confront a very real horror when the bizarre Mrs. Leeds and her equally unhinged children offer shelter from the unseen force lurking in the forbidding countryside. Trapped in a surreal nightmare, they must choose between the known and the unknown as they try to survive in SATAN’S PLAYGROUND.
