Andy Muschietti teases his return to Derry for It: Chapter 2

The last word we brought you guys regarding director Andy Muschietti’s follow-up to his 2017 smash hit adaptation of STEPHEN KING’S IT was when we let you know the film (might) be filming this summer and that Jessica Chastain is in talks to portray the adult version of Beverly Marsh.

Well, today it looks like Andy Muschietti is teasing his return to Derry as you can see by his Instagram post below. I can’t help but notice he points out the kids in the post as well so I guess this also marks confirmation that the child cast will be returning for IT: CHAPTER 2 as well. But we’ll see…

IT synopsis:

A group of young kids faces their biggest fears when they seek answers to the disappearance of children in their hometown of Derry, Maine. They square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

IT is directed by Andrés Muschietti from a script by Chase Palmer & Cary Joji Fukunaga and Gray Dauberman, based on the novel by Stephen King. The film stars Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, Nicholas Hamilton, Owen Teague, Javier Botet, Steven Williams, and Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
