Anna Faris most likely won’t be in Scary Movie 5

Not exactly sure how much people care about another SCARY MOVIE, but Dimension is going forward with one anyway because, obviously, they make money. Even the last one, which came out in 2006 when the shtick already seemed quite played out, made $178 million worldwide.

The question remains, what wacky celebrities will we be seeing in this latest SCARY MOVIE? The face of the franchise has of course been the ever-adorable Anna Faris, although rumblings have indicated that new installment will be a “reboot” of sorts (not that there’s a tremendous amount of continuity in the series), causing doubt over whether or not the cutie will be returning. ComingSoon.net recently spoke to Ms. Faris and asked her the big question, and received the following reply:

“No, I don’t think I’m going to do it. I don’t think I’m part of that. I don’t know exactly what’s happening with it, but I hear it’s sort of in the works and stuff.”

Well, that’s really all you need, isn’t it? Dimension will have to find another charming and funny hottie to fill Anna’s shoes… No easy task.

SCARY MOVIE 5 is scheduled to hit JANUARY 15, 2013.
