DAWN OF THE DEAD came out today on DVD in all it’s uncut glory, so it’s fitting that director Zack Snyder informed SciFi Wire that there’s already talks of doing a sequel. Although DAWN was a remake of George Romero’s 1979 classic, the sequel would not be based on the original’s sequel, DAY OF THE DEAD. Although still early in development, Universal wants to make this movie bad, and Snyder and co-writer James Gunn have a few ideas about where they want to take this. “I always wanted to make a movie where the zombies won from the beginning” says Snyder- don’t we all? I know it’s a little too early to get overly excited about this, but the remake blew my expectations out of the water- so the thought of another badass zombie flick just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Next up in zombie horror? Romero’s own LAND OF THE DEAD…
