Another “final” trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s Pacific Rim drops. For real this time (maybe)

JoBloJoBlo

The final trailer for PACIFIC RIM is here! Again! But, for real this time!

Yeah, you complained about trailers being too long and Hollywood has already found a way around your quibbles. They cut 'em down to two minutes all right, but now you're getting twice the amount! What a concept. Anyway, that's not to say anything bad about PACIFIC RIM as it continues to look like the very definition of a summer popcorn munching extravaganza, but yeah, we don't really need another trailer to sell it. We're going. We're all going and that's that. The new final (maybe) trailer offers a little bit of new footage, but mostly serves as just another finely sliced piece of marketing.

Suit up:

PACIFIC RIM has gained some great traction thus far and has won me over after a lukewarm initial reception. Based on all I've seen (and it's been a lot, let's be honest here) this has got all the ingredients for a kick ass romp, full of "destruction porn" (Boy, I can't wait to hear the whiners after this one) and over-the-top heroics.

PACIFIC RIM starts rockin' 'em and sockin' 'em on July 12, 2013.
