The majority were pretty keen on the joke of Marvel's ant-sized teaser for their trailer that's breaking later today, and it looks like they're going the same route with their first official poster. The story of ANT-MAN revolves around a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, but judging from the hiring of Paul Rudd and director Peyton Reed (YES MAN, DOWN WITH LOVE), I'd wager Marvel has a more comedic angle in mind for us. Then again, no one expected much from the Russo brothers before CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, so who knows?  If the official poster isn't enough for you, I've also included the Entertainment Weekly cover that gives you a little more.

I'm actually pretty pumped to to see this trailer! Paul Rudd's charisma knows no bounds and Evangeline Lilly has admittedly won me over with her solid performance in THE HOBBIT flicks. If marketing thus far is any indication, Marvel is promoting this film very tongue-in-cheek and that's a welcome departure from Captain America or Thor or even The Avengers. Be sure to check back as you know we'll throw that trailer online as soon as it hits!

ANT-MAN will hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
