Twentieth Century Fox has just pushed Matt Reeves' DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES further into the summer with its new release date of July 18, 2014, a whole two months later than initially planned. Is it just me or a lot of films getting release date changes? Must be something in the water…

APES stars Andy Serkis, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Judy Greer and Jocko Sims.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

Now the fun part! Fox is looking to welcome aliens to Earth in 2015 as they have officially announced a release date for INDEPENDENCE DAY 2, the sequel to Roland Emmerich's ridiculously awesome 1996 box-office hit. The film is expected to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2015 with Emmerich directing. No cast members have been attached just yet but can we please get Jeff Goldblum back. Please?
