Aquaman will hit Blu-ray on March 26th with a Shazam! sneak-peek

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As AQUAMAN has become the first film of Warner Bros.' DC franchise to gross over $1 billion worldwide, I'd imagine that many of you will be adding the James Wan film to your home-media collections. Thankfully, that time is not too far off as Warner Bros. Entertainment have announced that AQUAMAN will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD on March 24, 2019. For those hoping to grab the film a little earlier, AQUAMAN will also be released on Digital on March 5, 2019. As usual, the DVD/Blu-ray/4K UHD releases will come with an array of special features, one of which is a three-minute sneak peek at SHAZAM!, the upcoming David F. Sandberg film starring Zachary Levi as the titular hero.

Here's a complete list of AQUAMAN's special features, along with the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray cover-art:

  • Going Deep Into the World of Aquaman
  • Becoming Aquaman
  • James Wan: World Builder
  • Aqua Tech
  • Atlantis Warfare
  • The Dark Depths of Black Manta
  • Heroines of Atlantis
  • Villaneous Training
  • Kingdoms of the Seven Seas
  • Creating Undersea Creatures
  • A Match Made in Atlantis
  • Scene Study Breakdowns
  • Exclusive Sneak Peek of Shazam!

Warner Bros. are now officially developing an AQUAMAN sequel, because of course they are, but James Wan is in no hurry to launch back into the world of Atlantis as he'll be taking a much-needed break. Studio sources have said that the studio will likely need a "whale-sized deal" in order to lock Wan down for the sequel, but that he's not about to sign on the dotted line until he's happy with the script.

AQUAMAN will be released on Digital on March 5, 2019, followed by a DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD release on March 24, 2019.
