Are You Afraid of the Dark reboot getting DVD release!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

I remember growing up as a kid in the 90's, and watching ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK? every week. They never truly scared me (not trying to act tough – the cover for THEODORE REX gave me nightmares), but they were definitely fun and memorable nonetheless. So I was weary when Nickelodeon decided to do a reboot, but I was glad to hear that it was well-received. Here's the official synopsis:

This three-part, self-contained limited series is about the newest member of the Midnight Society, her first scary tale, and what happens to the group when the terrifying events of her story start to actually happen in their small town.

Now, it looks like there's a DVD of the series coming soon, which will also contain three classic episodes from the original 90's era, including:

  • The Tale of Laughing in the Dark
  • The Tale of the Ghastly Grinner
  • The Tale of the Dead Man’s Float

Meanwhile, the ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK reboot DVD will be available August 11th (PRE-ORDER HERE!)

So what do you guys think? Were you fans of the original show? If so, how do you think the reboot stacked up? Either way, sound off below!
