So, apparently not only is Zack Snyder's upcoming zombie action-horror heist flick Army of the Dead getting an anime prequel series called Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas (cute), but it's also getting a live-action prequel film called Army of Thieves, which would focus on Matthias Schweighöfer's character in the film named Dieter. Schweighöfer will also be directing.
Now, Netflix has revealed the official plot synopsis for said film, which you can read below:
A mysterious woman recruits bank teller Dieter to assist in a heist of impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.
Okay. I mean, I don't know about all this. Like, shouldn't you test if people give a shit about the first movie before all the prequels and cartoons and everything? But, what do I know.
Anyway, no official release date for Army of Thieves as of yet, but The Army of the Dead will premiere on Netflix and select theaters May 21st.
