Cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla barges online!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

One of the most fun things about the ASSASSIN'S CREED series is the speculation about which historical period you'll be able to gallivant and merc fools in next. For instance, Ubisoft's popular videogame series has taken players from Medieval Europe, to Revolutionary America, to Ancient Egypt, and most recently to Ancient Greece (even bringing mythological creatures into it!) However, the newest entry, ASSASSINS CREED VALHALLA, will be set in England during the Dark Ages where, where you play as

Eivor, a fierce Viking warrior raised on tales of battle and glory. Explore a dynamic and beautiful open world set against the brutal backdrop of England’s Dark Ages. Raid your enemies, grow your settlement, and build your political power in your quest to earn your place among the gods in Valhalla.

Ubisoft has also unleashed a new cinematic trailer as well, which is embedded at the top of the article. While it's always hard to gauge how games will be when all you get is a cinematic, this one is at least beautiful to look at – and the final battle even got my blood pumping a bit. So I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Meanwhile, ASSASSIN'S CREED VALHALLA is set to release this holiday, but you can PRE-ORDER IT NOW!

So what do you guys think? Excited for VALHALLA? And which historical period would you personally like to see the series tackle next? Either way, sound off below!
