Atlantis hates us

America may have already managed to piss off most of the planet, but there are still a few mythical races of advanced beings who also have an ax to grind.

Dreamworks has grabbed the Platinum comic series ATLANTIS RISING for a new live-action feature. An action-loaded sci-fi political techno-thriller (whew), the story involves the denizens of the legendary lost city reappearing after eons only to engage in a skirmish with those currently residing on the surface.

The project is being produced and developed by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, whose names may be familiar if you watched the TV series ALIAS or saw the quiet drama TRANSFORMERS. Dreamworks is also working on another Platinum comic series called COWBOYS & ALIENS, which has seemingly been in development since there was an internets.
