New Avengers: Doomsday Promo Drops During World Series Game 1 Featuring Pedro Pascal & More

With Halloween just around the corner and Thanksgiving not long after that, a holiday gauntlet is fast-approaching, making the days until the release of Marvel Studios‘ Avengers: Doomsday whizz by. Still, before the snow comes to make your morning commute more of a pain in the ass than it already is, the World Series is getting underway!

Marvel Studios Steps Onto the Mound

During Friday’s Game 1, the MLB and the MCU teamed up for a special preview of the upcoming movie, in which Pedro Pascal’s Mister Fantastic takes the mound for the ceremonial first pitch to Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch.

The promo aired during the Game 1 faceoff between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers, which was broadcast on Fox and streamed on Fox One. The TV spot features new footage from the upcoming film, including awkward exchanges between Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. The footage helps frame Doctor Doom’s arrival as an unprecedented threat to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the mad-scientist sorcerer warning that the Avengers must pay for messing with reality and borrowed existence.
