Awaken the Reaper images show Lance Henriksen, Louis Gossett Jr. in horror thriller

The legendary Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman), and Robin Curtis of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home star in the upcoming horror thriller Awaken the Reaper – and Deadline got their hands on a pair of images that show Henriksen and Gossett in the movie! Those images can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Dave Campfield and Justin Paul are directing Awaken the Reaper, working from a screenplay written by Campfield. The film, which is currently in production in New York, will tell the story of a troubled drifter who returns home to begin therapy when he begins experiencing visions of a hooded skeletal figure that brandishes a scythe.

Campfield previously directed the 2006 horror film Under Surveillance, as well as multiple entries in a horror comedy franchise: Caesar and Otto, Caesar and Otto’s Summer Camp Massacre, Caesar and Otto’s Deadly Xmas, and Caesar and Otto’s Paranormal Halloween. Plus the short films Caesar & Otto in the House of Dracula and Caesar and Otto Meet Dracula’s Lawyer.

Deadline notes that Awaken the Reaper marks the return of Curtis to acting in feature films after a 23 year hiatus. Details on the characters she’s playing in this one were not provided.

Campfield and Paul are producing the film with Fourth Horizon Cinema, Impact Media Productions, and Design Weapons Studios.

How does Awaken the Reaper sound to you? Are you a fan of Campfield’s previous films? Let us know by leaving a comment below. I have heard about the Caesar and Otto movies here and there over the years, but have never actually seen one myself. Awaken the Reaper has definitely caught my attention with the presence of Henriksen, Gossett, and Curtis in its cast, though.
