Wars are bad. Watching wars in a movie? Good. We just love destrucation like that. Now wars between humans and aliens? Awesome. Yeah, it’s a fact. Now we have an awesome human versus alienish movie coming out in GEARS OF WAR. But while we wait for that potentially awesome trilogy, what have we got to feed our hunger? Well LAST MAN! What’s LAST MAN? Let me tell you.
Variety dropped word today giving us some details on LAST MAN. The film is a futuristic action flick that centers on a hardened captain assigned to protect an outpost on a distant planet must lead a group of young, inexperienced American soldiers in battle against an alien race. That sounds like all kinds of awesome. Add in the fact that we got a director like David Ayer (above) behind the camera and we’ve got potential!
David Ayer will also write the seven-figure project for New Regency and 20th Century Fox. Ayer’s a great director and an equally great writer so I can’t wait for this one! Now get some key casting down and some vicious looking aliens and we might have something big! We’ll be keeping an eye on LAST MAN so keep it here for updates!
