Balfour a Gargoyle

Nothing like a straight to cable Sci-Fi Channel monster movie to raise your mood and ensure a good time, right? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eric Balfour (boyfriend victim in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) has signed up to star in the two hour telefilm RISE OF THE GARGOYLE for the Sci-Fi Channel!

Ah, gargoyles… let’s just see where this tale takes us…. Jack Richmond is a struggling author whose outlandish theories on pagan architecture make him the laughingstock of the academic world. But when Jack finds himself face to face in a demolished church with a live version of the stone gargoyles he’s devoted his life to studying, no one believes his story.

Wow, they’re making a whole movie about that? Then again, we’re talkin’ the Sci-Fi Channel, so what are we supposed to expect, right? Balfour stars as Jack in the flick, which also co-stars Caroline Neron (below), Jason Salinger, Nick Mancuso, and Tanya Clarke. Nice–Neron’s hot, too bad she won’t go the full monty (since it’s made for TV and all). GARGOYLE’s is set to be directed by Bill Corcoran, who also gave us the Sci-Fi epic VIPERS, so you know we’re in for a good time.

Cheesy effects, cheesy action, cheesy story about Gargoyles coming to life… hey, I’m game if you are! Stick around for more updates on RISE OF THE GARGOYLE as they head our way!
