Brainstorm Media has dropped a new trailer for Ballistic, an action thriller starring Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) and written and directed by Chaud Faust (who I remember as Kyle Baldwin on The 4400). Check that out above!

Ballistic

Headey stars as the mother of a soldier who discovers that the bullet that killed her son in Afghanistan was made at the factory where she works, so she sets out on a path of revenge against those responsible.

In addition to Headey, the film stars Amybeth McNulty as Diana, Jordan Kronis as Jesse Redfield, Amanda Brugel as Galindo, Hamza Haq as Kahlil Nabizada, Enrico Colantoni as Rick Barber, Chad Faust as SSG Buchanan, Paolo Mancini as Larry, Kendall Christie as Joy, and more.

The movie is slated to make its debut on April 17 in select theaters and on digital platforms.

Headey’s Other Projects

Headey was most recently seen starring alongside Gillian Anderson in The Abandons, a Netflix Western series from Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. The logline reads: “The matriarchs of two very different families – one of wealth and privilege bound by blood, the other a found family of orphans and outcasts bound by love and necessity – find their fates linked by two crimes, an awful secret, a star-crossed love, and a piece of land with silver underneath.” Unfortunately, the series was cancelled after just one season.

She’s also set to star alongside Bob Odenkirk in Normal, an action film directed by Ben Wheatley and written by Derek Kolstad, based on a story by Kolstad and Odenkirk. When the interim sheriff of a small town (Odenkirk) tries to defuse a bank robbery, he stumbles upon a conspiracy that engulfs the town, leading to a massive firefight.

The movie is definitely a showcase for Odenkirk, but he’s less indestructible here than Hutch in Nobody,” wrote our own Chris Bumbray. “Ulysses doesn’t have the same hidden skill set—he’s competent with firearms thanks to his lawman training, but when he starts firing off heavy artillery, his being outmatched becomes part of the appeal… Normal was exactly what I wanted from a Bob Odenkirk action flick. It’s packed with carnage, with him in top form as both action star and leading man.” You can check out the rest of his review right here. Normal will hit theaters on April 17.
