Bare-boned legends

Like I said before, it seems that releasing collections of films by certain actors/actresses/studios/directors/janitors is all the rage at the moment, with Warner Bros. tossing their own bare-bones collection onto the pile this October.

Hollywood’s Legends of Horror Collection hits the third of October, and contains six classic ‘masterworks of terror’ on three discs. The films for the set include DOCTOR X, THE RETURN OF DR. X, MARK OF THE VAMPIRE, THE MASK OF FU MANCHU MAD LOVE and THE DEVIL DOLL. Other than the cover art and price ($39.92) for the set, there doesn’t appear to be anything in terms of extras for the films. Expect full-screen transfers and mono sound all around.
