I can’t really think of a less likely director to be tackling a zombie outbreak thriller than Barry Levinson, but that’s exactly what the RAIN MAN director is doing with THE BAY, which was known as ISOPOD only a few weeks ago. Flick is going to be a PARANORMAL ACTIVITY-style horror flick, which is fitting as the producers of that low-budget blockbuster are assisting on this one.

According to Screen Daily, THE BAY centres on the aftermath of a viral outbreak on the Eastern Seaboard. The story is told via a series of recordings on camera phones, 911 calls and other scraps of video as the town of Claridge, Maryland, is engulfed by chaos.

PARANORMAL peeps Oren Peli, Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones are all on board to produce; the bunch just wrapped James Wan’s INSIDIOUS (check out our set visit article HERE, and they’re currently in post-production on Peli’s directorial follow-up to PARANORMAL, AREA 51.

No actors have been revealed as of yet.
