A few months ago we learned that director Joe Dante was returning to the director’s chair, giving us a horror movie we could all be proud of (check that story HERE). The flick? BAT OUT OF HELL, and today Bloody-Disgusting not only scored the film’s full synopsis, but also a glimpse at the first ‘sales’ one-sheet for the flick!
Without further ado, BAT OUT OF HELL goes like this: As a red eye flight from Los Angeles to New York takes off, everything seems to be normal. That is until the co-pilot kills the pilot and a rouge group of coach passengers head into first class armed and ready to kill. Their claim – there are 9 passengers in the front of the plane who must die tonight. They are vampires, and our “heroes” will crash the plane if they have to in order to ensure what must be done is done. Not willing to die without fighting, the vampires unleash their fury in a battle of strength and wits six miles high, and all before the sun rises on an unknowing New York City.
We’ve had SNAKES ON A PLANE and now it looks like we’ll have some VAMPIRES ON A PLANE too… or simply BAT OUT OF HELL if you wanna be a dick about it. Actually, the premise sounds pretty awesome as vampires have to travel too, and what better way to get around than taking the red eye somewhere? You are where you need to go and all under the cover of darkness.
The sales one-sheet isn’t bad either, featuring a plane and the above logo for the flick. Considering production hasn’t really started yet, it’s not bad. You can check out the full poster by clicking HERE, so stick around as we learn more about BAT OUT OF HELL in the next couple of months. Dante’s back, baby!
Let’s hope for some scary-ass vampires rockin’ some sexy cleavage on board this plane!
