Baywatch film starring The Rock releases trailer tease

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

BAYWATCH is a film that could either be really fun, or really stupid. Maybe, best case scenario, it's actually both. Judging by the publicity so far, it seems like it's on the right track, with tongue firmly in cheek. No one wants a gritty BAYWATCH reboot. Well, no one sane anyway.

Now, while I am not a fan of trailer teases in general, news is news. Especially on slow news days. So, without further ado, here's the first trailer tease for BAYWATCH. Let's take a look:

Again, looks goofy and fun. Something The Rock is pretty good at, even if the films around him don't match his commitment. I mean, the footage's not much to go on (and might even be made specifically for the trailer), but when there's words on the screen that say, "The ocean's most powerful force…will emerge" and it smash cuts to The Rock rising out of the water as Biggie Smalls plays? I mean, that's not exactly Christopher Nolan shit.

Anyway, BAYWATCH co-starring Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, and Kelly Rohrbach (as well as confirmed cameos from Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff) will run in slow-motion to theaters May 19th, 2017.
