Be sure to say your prayers as a new poster for The Nun emerges

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

A new and hauntingly creepy poster for THE NUN has arrived ahead of tomorrow's trailer reveal for the latest chapter in the Conjuring horror series. Directed by Corin Hardy (THE HALLOW) and written by Gary Dauberman (IT, SWAMP THING), THE NUN tells the story of when a priest named Father Burke and his assistant Sister Irene who are sent to Romania to investigate the mysterious death of a nun. Starring Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, and Charlotte Hope, THE NUN stands as the fifth chapter of the Conjuring universe after the release of THE CONJURING, ANNABELLE, CONJURING 2, and ANNABELLE: CREATION.

For the past several years, James Wan's Conjuring franchise has evoked a retro-horror vibe that many fans of the franchise feel has been missing from the genre's modern-day offerings. In fact, Hardy recently told Empire that “The period and the setting and the scope of it hark back to really classic, old-school, scarlet-blooded horror films,” said THE NUN director. He then added, "And I loved that the story was a character-driven mystery as well as a scary horror movie.”

Be sure to check back with us tomorrow for when a trailer for THE NUN makes its debut.

THE NUN is set to assign Hail Marys on audience members beginning on September 7th.
