It’s
not the biggest surprise in the world to see auteur Woody Allen filming
his latest movie, MIDNIGHT
IN PARIS, in and around Paris France, but since when did Madonna start
directing movies? Well, apparently the picture she started filming there
recently entitled W.E.
is the 2nd film she’s directed, after something called FILTH AND WISDOM,
back in 2008 (news to me). Madonna’s flick is about King Edward VIII, is
set in the 1930s and stars Abbie Cornish and James D’Arcy as the king
himself. Allen’s flick stars Owen Wilson (never thought I’d see him in a
Woody Allen movie) as well as Marion Cotillard, Adrien Brody, Rachel
McAdams and France’s First Lady aka model-turned-singer Carla
Bruni-Sarkozy?!? Both films are set to be released in 2011, but thanks to
those awesome Russians at Kino
