Get this. Teen queen Bella Thorne is co-executive producing a vampire movie for Lifetime (they've been digging the subgenre ever since they remade MOTHER, MAY I SLEEP WITH DANGER? as a lesbian vampire flick). The film has already started shooting, with director Vanessa Parise (Perfect High) at the helm. The title? DRINK, SLAY, LOVE.

This is actually the second horror twist on Elizabeth Gilbert's EAT, PRAY, LOVE, after the upcoming zombie road trip comedy EAT, BRAINS, LOVE.

Adapted by Eriene Donohue from the novel by Sarah Beth Durst, the film:

follows Pearl, played by The Fosters‘ Cierra Ramirez, a typical 16-year-old vampire — fond of blood, allergic to the sun, and generally pretty evil. After a mysterious attack leaves her able to survive in the daylight, Pearl’s powerful family quickly takes advantage of this new ability, sending her to high school to gather fresh young blood for an upcoming feast in honor of the Vampire King. The only problem is that Pearl is starting to grow a conscience. How can she serve up her new friends to be slaughtered? Then again, she’s definitely dead if she lets her family down.

DRINK, SLAY, LOVE will star Gregg Sulkin (Faking It), Zach Peladeau (iZombie), McKaley Miller (Hart Of Dixie), Angelique Rivera (American Crime), Sarah Desjardins (Van Helsing) and Jasmine Sky Sarin (Perfect High) will co-star.

The film will premiere on Lifetime in 2017.
