Eat, Brains, Love: Zombie road trip comedy coming to screens

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

EAT, BRAINS, LOVE is the name of a movie that's actually happening. What a time to be alive. From Gunpowder & Sky exec Van Toffler and DIGA founder Tony DiSanto, the film is an adaptation of Jeff Hart's parody of the popular novel EAT, PRAY, LOVE (adapted into a film directed by Ryan Murphy and starring Julia Roberts in 2010).

The producers, who have previously collaborated on MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16 and Scream: The Series are currently in talks with screenwriters to put the project together.

EAT, BRAINS, LOVE:

is the story of a pair of high-school sweethearts who contract a mysterious zombie virus and devour the brains of half their senior class. They set off on a cross-country journey to discover a cure, while being pursued by a teen psychic sent by the government’s top-secret Necrotic Control Division to track them down.

Said DiSanto:

It’s got everything you need from a movie — high school insanity, zombie sex, action, zombie sex (again) and over-the-top violence!

Although The Walking Dead continues to be a ratings powerhouse, zombie cinema has been pretty lacking lately, so this is a very welcome and strange entry in the genre. More on this story as it breaks!
