Ben Affleck may next star in The Accountant for WB

JoBloJoBlo

Ben Affleck wins a couple of Oscars and directs three excellent films in a row, plus gets cast as Batman, and now he thinks he can do whatever he wants? Okay, so maybe Affleck has the chops in front of and behind the camera to do what he wants, but it seems like the guy is bordering on burnout. With project after project lined up for the guy, Affleck now is poised to add another in the form of THE ACCOUNTANT.

Variety reports that Affleck is looking at THE ACCOUNTANT as an acting gig right after he finishes BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and may begin filming before his next directorial effort, LIVE BY NIGHT, goes into production in July.

THE ACCOUNTANT was previously linked to director Mel Gibson before it left Warner Bros and headed to Sony where Will Smith was eyed for the lead. Now back at WB, Affleck is looking to WARRIOR director Gavin O’Connor to helm the project. THE ACCOUNTANT follows a man who is an unassuming accountant by day and an assassin by night. There is not much else available in terms of plot, but it sounds like it could be a nice fit for the Oscar winner.
