Bentley’s Blackheart

GHOST RIDER, probably one of the cooler comic-to-screen adaptions in the works right now just got cooler. Wes Bentley (AMERICAN BEAUTY) has signed on to star as the villian Blackheart, opposite Nicolas Cage in the title role.

Directed by Mark Steven Johnson (DAREDEVIL), RIDER follows a badass motocyclist who makes a pact with dark forces in order to battle the bad guys, and save his woman.

I’m a huge Cage fan, and feel that this role will give him the respect he deserves (forget about NATIONAL TREASURE!), but what’s even more exciting is Bentley! The guy has that intense look that all villians truly need to be badass. If only Johnson wasn’t the prick behind that P.O.S. DAREDEVIL, this movie could actually live up to the hype that it’s already creating. GHOST RIDER begins shooting next month.
