Best Horror Movie You Never Saw! We take on Brian Yuzna’s Society! (Video)

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As we suffer through a pandemic together – we here at BEST HORROR MOVIE YOU NEVER SAW take a look back at the politically-charged 1992 horror/satire film SOCIETY (WATCH IT HERE) from director Brian Yuzna (BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR), starring Billy Warlock, Patrice Jennings, and Ben Meyerson, which is about:

Bill Whitney (Billy Warlock), a teenager living in Beverly Hills, who feels alienated and ostracized from his well-to-do WASP-y family – while also suffering from what seem to be paranoid delusions and hallucinations. Things come to a head, however, when he realizes there might really be reasons to be paranoid, and that his hallucinations might actually be real as he slowly uncovers something sinister…and otherworldly…about his family and a secret society they may-or-may not belong to.

With biting social commentary on wealth inequality, corrupt power structures, and the message of the rich literally leaching off of the poor, Yuzna’s film is the perfect tonic to cope with the nightmare unfettered capitalism has currently wrought upon us.

It also contains some of the best – and grossest – creature designs ever! If you’re more into stuff like that.
