Beware! Adam Sandler to do a comedic western next

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA was not directed by Adam Sandler, but it is certainly a nice little positive in his corner. So how can he quickly turn that into a negative? Make another pointless comedy.

BUT WAIT! This is going to be a comedic western! Yeah, I know, you still aren’t excited.

We don’t have any details on the plot, though I’m sure the anticipation will just eat you alive. All we know is that the project has moved from Sony to Paramount due to financial constraints. Sony is now getting extremely picky about what films that do decide to tackle. I guess they didn’t want to take a gamble on another of Sandler’s comedies. The untitled comedic western should be out sometime in 2013.

Even though you guys slammed the guilty verdict down hard on Adam Sandler in the Movie Jail column, I like to think there’s still a chance. It might be one out of a 1,000,000, but there’s still a chance. Does he need a drama? Or have we simply just out grown his recent brand of humor? I watch the hell out of BILLY MADISON.

Expect to hear more news soon on casting choices that won’t surprise you.
