Months back, it was reported that First 4 Figures would be releasing a replica of the BFG from DOOM early 2006. Problem is, it’s the middle of 2006 right now, so where’s my frickin’ BFG?
Figures.com checks in today with news that no, First 4 Figures are not dead, and that the 12 inch replica is now nearing completion, with shipments beginning within the next couple of weeks. As well, new features have been added to the original prototype model that was first shown late last year. There will be 3 moveable parts on the gun to add even more realism, including the moveable rifle butt extension and moveable panels on the sides. Retail is still slated at $79.99, which may or may not be your fancy, given the fact that this still isn’t a 1:1 replica, but hey, does anyone have that much shelf space for a gun that size?
