Billy Senese will bring you Closer to God on July 3rd

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Uncork’d Entertainment and Breaking Glass Pictures will be releasing writer/director Billy Senese's sci-fi horror film CLOSER TO GOD on VOD and in a handful of theatres across the U.S. on July 3rd.

Described as a mixture of David Cronenberg and Mary Shelley, the film has the following synopsis:

Dr. Victor Reed is a brilliant geneticist who has just achieved a huge scientific breakthrough by successfully cloning the first human being, an adorable baby girl named Elizabeth. This immediately becomes a media spectacle and ignites a firestorm of debate concerning the moral and religious implications of such a discovery. Soon, Dr. Reed and his family lose all sense of privacy and safety as they are swarmed by protesters and the media. Their biggest threat, however, could be Victor’s own secret.

You'll be able to see CLOSER TO GOD on the big screen at these locations:

NY – Cinema Village
LA – Laemmle – Music Hall
Portland – Clinton Street Theater
San Francisco – Roxie Theater
Philadelphia – The Roxy
Chicago – Facets Cinematheque
Denver – SIE Film Center
Miami – Cinema Paradiso
Dallas – Texas Theater
Cleveland – Capitol Theater

If you can't make it to one of those theatres, it will be available through various On Demand services.

The synopsis and the poster image already have me a bit unnerved. Medical/psychological horror with a Frankenstein baby at the center of it all? This has the potential to be extremely creepy.
