Blood River trailer

I gave you all the word on Epic Pictures’ BLOOD RIVER last month. It wasn’t much, just the teaser poster and technical info.

Well Twitch, the same guys who scored the first poster, now have the first trailer for the film up. I have to say, it doesn’t look half bad. Doesn’t look half bad at all. I think the thing that’s really selling this one is the acting. From the looks of the trailer, the whole three person cast looks spot on. It’s a pretty sweet trailer that gives us a great look at how the flick is going to be. My only gripe is can they keep us entertained the whole time? The trailer makes it look great, but can they fill nearly 2 hours? Hopefully there’ll be some creative interactions involved to keep us into it. I’m getting ahead of myself though. The synopsis for BLOOD RIVER is:

It’s 1969 and Clark and Summer are happily married and she’s pregnant. We first meet Summer and Clark as they are driving across California on their way to Arizona to tell Summer’s parents the good news about the pregnancy. They drive across the seemingly never ending and desolate desert landscape – they have a blow out. It’s a nasty one that sends the car into a massive, near fatal crash. They crawl out of it, hurt but alive, Summer terrified for the well being of her unborn child. The nearest place on the map is the uninviting sounding town of Blood River where they meet a mysterious stranger, Joseph. The clash between Joseph and Clark reaches fever pitch and drives our characters ever closer to a violent, destructive and shocking conclusion that will chill you to the bone.

Blood River is a twisted, manipulative trip into a world of extremes where people are rarely who they seem, where everyone has a secret and where few, if any, will survive.

After watching the trailer I’m most definately down for this. Looks like it can get pretty gritty. BLOOD RIVER is directed by Adam Mason (DEVIL’S CHAIR) and written by Mason and Simon Boyes. I think it’s worth noting that these two guys were also the duo behind BROKEN. BLOOD RIVER stars Andrew Howard, Ian Duncan, and Tess Panzer. You can head over here to check out the trailer, or just scope it out below. You can also check out a sweet interview Twitch scored with Adam Mason over here.
