Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A few days back, we passed along word that all four LETHAL WEAPON flicks would be hitting Netflix today. And that's not all. If you need an even bigger action fix these days, you're in luck as Newt Arnold's BLOODSPORT with Jean-Claude Van Damme is now streaming on Netflix as well.

Check it out tonight!

For those of you out there that might not know, BLOODSPORT centers on:

U.S. soldier Frank Dux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) has come to Hong Kong to be accepted into the Kumite, a highly secret and extremely violent martial-arts competition. While trying to gain access into the underground world of clandestine fighters, he also has to avoid military officers who consider him to be AWOL. After enduring a difficult training and beginning a romance with journalist Janice Kent (Leah Ayres), Frank is given the opportunity to fight. But can he survive?

BLOODSPORT is directed by Newt Arnold and produced by Mark DiSalle from a screenplay written by Christopher Cosby, Mel Friedman, and Sheldon Lettich. It stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, Donald Gibb, Leah Ayres, and Forest Whitaker. The Cannon Group unleashed it back on February 26, 1988.

The film sports a 39% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: "This is where it all began for the Muscles from Brussels, but beyond Van Damme's athleticism, Bloodsport is a cliched, virtually plotless exercise in action movie recycling." Yeah, yeah, yeah.
