The version of THE FLY that most horror fans are familiar with is David Cronenberg's gruesomely awesome 1986 classic starring Jeff Goldblum. It's always nice to revisit the original films that inspired some of our favorite remakes and now we've got the chance to do just that in high-definition thanks to Fox! They have announced the release of 1958's THE FLY starring David Hedison, Patricia Owens and Vincent Price. The newly restored classic comes with some cool bonus features that you can check out below. Also you'll find the cover art for the Blu-ray and it's a pretty damn gorgeous and simplistic design.

THE FLY hits shelves on September 10th and you can pre-order your copy of the flick right HERE.

When a scientist (David Hedison) attempts to transfer matter through space, things go horrifically wrong and two grotesque man-fly hybrids are created. Now, with the head of a fly and a wing in place of one of his arms, the scientist desperately hopes that he, his wife (Patricia Owens) and his brother (Vincent Price) can capture the other mutant and reverse the experiment.

Special Features:
