Bobcat Goldthwait talks Bigfoot and gives insight into what to expect from Willow Creek

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last night we shared the badass poster for director Bobcat Goldthwait’s Bigfoot-themed docu-horror WILLOW CREEK and today we have a video where the comedian-turned-director sat down with The Bigfoot Report podcast to give some in-depth insight into his motivations for making the film, his love for Bigfoot lore, and what we can expect from the flick. Check it out below.

For his take on the subject, Goldthwait’s film ”is apparently rather driven by exploring the idea of bearing witness.”

Word surrounding WILLOW CREEK states that multiple characters in the film claim to have seen the mysterious beast and that their different accounts provide a source of conflict. Evidently that turns into an opportunity to make “some observations on faith and religion.” The film was shot in a very short amount of time, and mostly in sequence, with some parts right where the infamous Patterson-Gimlin bigfoot film was captured in California, while Goldthwait had a gap in his schedule. Apparently his goal is to mix some satire with his suspense, and we wouldn’t expect anything less from the director.

I only hope the film is as badass as its poster, seen below.
