With Brian De Palma hard at work on THE BLACK DAHLIA, Sony Pictures decided that it was time for a DVD release of one of his more notable films in BODY DOUBLE.

Set for release October 3rd, this 1984 thriller starring Craig Wasson and Melanie Griffith will set you back around $19.94. Presented in anamorphic widescreen, the disc will also carry your usual English Dolby Digital soundtrack. Unfortunately, the only extra material will be four behind the scenes featurettes entitled The Seduction, The Set-Up, The Mystery, and The Controversy. What, no trailer, no commentary? The original DVD at least had the trailer. So much for that ‘Special Edition’ on the cover…
