A MEN IN BLACK style supernatural comedy? You don't say, how novel!

Despite the bombing of R.I.P.D. last weekend, studios aren't scared of wacky comedy-thrillers where a secret underworld of spirits must be conquered by a buddy-team. In BOOGEYMAN, based on a pitch by John Sullivan, a fearful kid partners up with the Boogeyman to investigate paranormal activity.

Howard Deutch ("True Blood", PRETTY IN PINK) is directing the film, no word on when it creeps into production or who is in line to be cast.

Maybe this will get the rancid taste of those other BOOGEYMAN movies out of our mouths for good…
