ET slipped onto the set of the upcoming Western-flavored post-apocalyptic sci-fi flick THE BOOK OF ELI to stalk/chat up Denzel Washington and give a first glimpse at the production in action.
The movie is directed by the long-absent Hughes Brothers (DEAD PRESIDENTS, FROM HELL) and stars Denzel as the future’s hero tasked with protecting a sacred book that could save the tattered remnants of humanity. Unsurprisingly, the more interesting role belongs to Gary Oldman as the despot of a small shanty town deficient of standard necessities, services, and most noticeably, laws.
The movie also features Ray Stevenson, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Beals, Michael Gambon and Tom Waits. Why wouldn’t you want to see it?
