Brad Parker to direct supernatural horror film Bed Rest

Last year, we heard of a Black List-honored screenplay written by Lori Evans Taylor called BED REST, a script that was at the center of a bidding war MGM came out the victor of.

Just over ten months after MGM purchased BED REST, we now know who they have hired to direct the film: Brad Parker, who got his start working as a digital artist on films like LAKE PLACID, FIGHT CLUB, WILLARD, and LET ME IN before making his directorial debut on CHERNOBYL DIARIES.

Since the release of CHERNOBYL DIARIES in 2012, Parker has served as the second unit director on DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and the upcoming WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES.

With BED REST, he will be bringing the following story to the screen:

An expectant mother who is confined to bed rest starts to experience paranormal events.

I've never gotten around to watching CHERNOBYL DIARIES, so I'm unfamiliar with Parker's work as a director, but it does sound like he has an intriguing script to work with on this one.
