Indie director Len Kabasinski of KillerWolf Films dropped by Fangoria today to let ’em know that his film, SWAMP ZOMBIES, has been picked up for a wide DVD release by Brain Damage Films.
Previously available in a limited three-disc set (which included the CD soundtrack) from the KillerWolf Films’ official site, the new and improved release will be available on the site and through Razor Digital distribution in about six months, whereas Brain Damage Films will sell the film overseas.
As for Kabasinski’s next project, CURSE OF THE WOLF will start filming in May or June of this year. Audition dates for the film will be posted on the KillerWolf site in the near future.
Starring Pamela Sutch, former pro-wrestler/shoot fighter Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn, current pro wrestler Brian Heffron aka The Blue Meanie (ECW! ECW!) and his ex-pornstar wife Jasmin St. Claire, the story centers on a large metropolitan hospital formulating a serum to resurrect recently deceased patients. When investigated by the feds, the doctor working on the serum is forced to dispose of the stiffs he was working on, even though the serum hasn’t been fully tested. With the help of the hospital operations manager, the bodies are put in a neighbouring swap. Fortunately, the serum works. Unfortunately, the resulting zombies begin to cause havoc on a group of students conducting research in the swamps. It’s up to the police captain with help from the swamp’s resident hermit to put the zombies where they belong.
